He knew she was looking at him, he could feel her no matter where she was and if he was nearby, he could feel her. He did not know why, but he knew and would suddenly get an ache deep in his heart to hold her, just to gaze in those beautiful inquisitive eyes. Such beautiful eyes!
There was something about her that drew him close, being with her fulfilled him and he still didn’t even know why! She had a way about her, the way she smiled or maybe the way she always looked at him as if he was the only thing in the universe she needed at that moment.
She was an addiction, he needed to find a way out of it but whenever he didn’t see her; his heart would have a shallow ache that didn’t seem to go away. All of a sudden a stranger is a lot more important than she was awhile back. Someone shouldn’t have this much power over another, he was at the mercy of her gait. When she swung her hips left to right, his mind wandered off to far off places; Oh mother of love, what is this thing weighing and lifting my heart up at the same time?
Aphrodite! It would seem was blowing perfumes of late blooms her way, when he walked by. Her heart in all its obviousness skipped beats, she was staring. Her mind knew nothing but the way he smiled. How is it a man you didn’t care much about years ago meant this much?
It couldn’t be right, it had to be a dream; of course it was a dream how then would such a gorgeous thing come her way and want her? Something about his voice; so deep, so soothing and somehow she was always lost in his dreamy eyes. No, this was definitely a dream no one else had ever showed her such joy and immense happiness and she could not fathom how this could come so easily. So breezy she could hear bells toll when he touched her, or maybe that was just her heart thundering on!
The universe was smiling at her, his gaze bore fire through her and she welcomed it whilst turning away to hide her feeble attempts at not being too obvious to those who saw her.
She wanted him, all of him.
Everything to do with him.
She was enthralled now, he knew it!
There was something obvious about them, you didn’t even have to look twice to notice what was going on. You had to be blind to not notice the heat oozing off of them when they stood together or the way they gazed at each other whenever they were in the same place. He sought her gaze the same way she sought his presence when he was not around and in that moment they seemed oblivious to everyone around them. Oblivious to what everyone would think or say, they were being pulled together by an invisible force.
A strong magnetic force that could be felt by anyone who came across them, yet they seemed to resist it. They seemed to hold back, as if giving in would be jumping off a cliff and diving into the unknown. No, they seemed scared, too scared to give into something they both desired so bad.
Aaah… the perils of love and desire!
